Ipoh is the capital of the state of Perak and was made rich and famous through the discovery of tin. It has a well worn Heritage Trail, supposedly marked out by these street signs. But, you really need a map in hand to walk the right way and see everything. Surprisingly, the Tourist Information Centre was closed on the Saturday morning and there were no maps available in the railway station which is the starting point of the trail. So, I would recommend you print out the map in advance, and have a read through before arriving in Ipoh.
We walked around Ipoh on Sat. 25th Feb. with Hanis’s family and on Sun. 26th Feb. by ourselves. So, I have separated the photos into two parts to make it easier to follow.
