Little India in Johor Bahru (10th Sept 2017)

 MG 8464-HDR

On this Sunday morning, I had the unexpected opportunity to visit the two main Indian temples in the centre of Johor Bahru: the Arulmigu Rajamariamman Devasthanam Temple and the Sikh Temple. The doors to the Hindu temple had always been closed when I had walked passed before, but today they were open so I popped inside. As I walked along the nearby road full of shops selling garlands for the temple, I took a photo of three young guys, who in turn took a photo of me and we got into a conversation. They were headed for the Sikh temple and offered to show me inside. So, the theme of this blog is a brief look at some aspects of life for the Indian community in Johor Bahru.
