Christmas 2016 in the UK

Borough market

On December 11th 2016, we left the hot climate of Malaysia and headed off to the UK for a Christmas in the cold. We stayed in London for the first week and caught up with old friends, then drove west to Devizes (Wiltshire) to stay with friends from Hong Kong. Next we drove north to Flamborough to my mother-in-law’s home, where we helped sort out stuff in the attic before driving down south to Brentwood to stay at my sister-in-law’s home. Not knowing Essex very well, we did some local exploring and plenty of dog-walking. Finally returned back to the warmth of Malaysia on 6th January 2017 and promptly went down with the flu. I have selected photos from each of these settings as a reminder to me of Englishness!
