Although the plains can sometimes look devoid of animals, if you have a good guide they will know the best places to look. So, hidden from the road by the long grass was this huge collection of lions. About 14 adult females (mothers and aunts) and maybe as many youngsters of different ages. Lots of tiny cubs about one month old and very well hidden. The older lions seemed more interested in looking away from us, at what I do not know.
