Our Road Trip around Malaysia had started on 22nd July 2020, and now it is 12th August and time to head home to Johor Bahru. We had driven a total of 2,878 km (1,788 miles) over 22 days, and put on a few pounds in the process! Except for Janda Baik and Kuala Lumpur, everywhere had been new to us and most places could have done with extra time when we discovered new points of interest along the way. We had spent time in Pahang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Kedah, Perlis, Penang, and Perak, and of course the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, and all presented something special. Because of the RMCO period, we could not go inside any of the beautiful mosques and temples, but at least we felt safe knowing that the government’s anti-coronavirus measures were being followed, and were pleased to see so many people wearing masks, despite the heat. All these states have their own unique history which shapes the nation of today, and I would encourage all Malaysians to explore their country and appreciate what a beautiful place it is.
