The Crystal Mosque

The Crystal Mosque (Masjid Kristal) is reached by a grand and circuitous route. I am not sure if we parked in the main carpark, but our walk did bring us through this building shown below. Because you are on the waterfront, there isn’t much to distract you from the image of the building, and it is stunning. It sits on a small island and, if you are staying in the city, I’m sure there would be a great view from the river at night.

It was unclear if we would be allowed inside the mosque, as most were closed to visitors because of the COVID-19 restrictions. As we were now wilting in the heat and wanting time for the museum, we decided just to enjoy the view of this building from the outside. As we walked back to the car, I noticed these guys practising archery in the grounds of the mosque.
