When we returned from our road trip last summer, Lawrence starting writing blogs to fill out some of the history we learnt on our travels. He was particularly fascinated by the men who fashioned British Malaya in the late 19th century. The British Residents, who were posted here to look after British interests in Malaya, pretty much made it all up as they went along!
I have put Lawrence’s daily blogs into an iBook, along with hyperlinks to the vlogs we made each day and the blogs I put on my website. I had intended making this book available to all through Apple Books, but Apple is very country-specific and I cannot upload it for all to see throughout the world. So, if you would like to learn more about the history of this country, please use this link to the file in Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a1rp2eezsk5w78u/The%20Malaysian%20Road%20Trip%202020%20book.pdf?dl=0
Apologies but this file is rather large (192MB) so this may take a while to download to your device. Still, you won’t get to read Malaysian history quite like this anywhere else!
I have created a Flipbook version of this book which you can see below… Just use the arrows at the side of the pages to move through the book.
