This year Lawrence and I were invited to the Deepavali celebrations at Persatuan Cerebral Palsy Johor, and what a wonderful even it was! The main hall was beautifully decorated and the children were dressed up for the occassion. I personally believe that isolating different groups of children from each other is a hindrance to their understanding of human nature, so seeing all the young school children alongside those with cerebral palsy was very pleasing.

We were entertained by children from Murid SJK (T) Yahya Awal school who put on a very impressive dance show, full of enthusiasm. Then there were birthday cakes and songs, and the presentation of awards and gifts. All followed by a delicious lunch.

Using our mobile phone footage, and some extras from Lekha Nandey (of the Malaysian Red Crescent), Lawrence put together a little video of the morning’s activities.
