Lukut Is a small town just outside the state capital Port Dickson. If you want an alternative to the beaches, come to the PDForest for a walk or hike, visit the old fort and museum at Kota Lukut for some history, and spend time at the Sky Ladder Pineapple Farm and enjoy some Instagram moments!

Port Douglas, including Pengalan Kempas Historical Complex, and Tanjung Tuan We visited Port Dickson when investigating the history the Johor Sultans prior to filming there for our documentary on ‘The Hidden History of Johor Lama’. It is a base from which to explore the rest of the state. Tanjung Tuan is in a pleasant country park for a walk with the Cape Rachado Lighthouse making an interesting lookout point over the Malacca Straits. The Pengalan Kempas Historical Complex is well worth visiting for its ancient stone monoliths.
