As well as providing catering services, Chef on Wheels is interested in offering baking classes as a way to provide a new income source to those in need of work. While this aim is still in the planning stages they have put their cake-making skills to other uses. The children and young adults at Cerebral Palsy Johor (CPJ) were given a real treat on Sunday 11th April when they got the chance to decorate cupcakes and take their handiwork home to their parents.
The Chef on Wheels team made the cupcakes, and put cake decorations and coloured icing into packs. Then Christine and Lekha provided instructions and encouragement throughout.

Picking up the decorations and placing them on the cakes was quite a challenge, and the look of intense concentration and pleasure on everyone’s faces (check out the video!) showed that they really enjoyed this novel activity.

Here is Christine and Song with YM Tunku Fatimah Osman, and En Yazid Mohamad, members of the Board of Directors of CPJ.

It looked like everyone had a good time as you can see from this fifth-y (Song, Lekha, Tunku Fatimah, Christine, and Lawrence).
