Today’s challenge was to explore the Antarctic Centre! We watched a couple of 4D movies and got rather wet in the process, we saw some blue penguins (not swimming today as molting season), we had a ride over rough terrain in a Hagglund vehicle (never again!), and experienced an Antarctic Storm in a room where they took the temperature down to -18C. Although they provided coats, just a few minutes at that temperature was quite enough! Felt sorry for those visitors wearing shorts today.
In the afternoon, we drove out of the city centre to a shopping mall and a cinema to watch ‘The Revenant’ which also featured a lot of snow.
